JANCIS ROBINSON MILLESIME - 2010
Ch Fourcas-Borie 2010 Listrac 15.5 Drink 2017-2022
Previously known as Fourcas Dumont. 70% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Shiny new red and gold label. Exclusive distribution by Ulysse Cazabonne. Very firm and vigorous and sweet. Bruno Borie: ‘the problem was that Listrac producers used to be required to plant Cabernet Sauvignon, which would never ripen.’ 30% new oak. A bit dry and green on the end. Very vigorous. Bit awkward but lots of personality. 14.2%

Millésime 2010: A new label, and a relatively new name for this 75-acre estate owned by Bruno Borie (proprietor of Ducru Beaucaillou), the 2010 is a sleeper of the vintage, with oodles of sweet mocha and black cherry fruit, a lush, plum texture and almost atypically fat, sweet tannins. This is an opulent, show-stopping, hedonistic style of wine to drink over the next decade or more.
This may be the finest wine I have ever tasted from the appellation of Listrac.

89 points - Tasted Apr 21, 2011
Fourcas Borie, formerly sold under the name of Fourcas Dumont is a new wine from Bruno Borie of Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou. Filled with juicy ripe, spicy cassis, blackberry and earth, this charming, crowd pleasing wine will offer a lot of bang for the buck in the under $20 category. 88-90 Pts
